Book Review ... Atomic Habits by James Clear

As I was browsing thru what book do I start with, my eyes caught attention on this one. Being around the New Year, and time for new beginnings when most of us are trying to break some old habits and form new habits this book has been an apt read.
Atomic Habits is one of the most comprehensive book which highlights on how to break bad habits and developing a good habit. He speaks about, how small changes in your daily routine adds up to one habit formation and positive changes. He has used a very practical systematic approach, even while reading the book you will feel the need to review your own self.

The methods defined here are on how to curb the bad habits and form good habits are -
1. The four step pattern: cue, craving, response, reward to execute a habit
2. If we want to form new habits, we should make them obvious, attractive, easy, and satisfying.

Author here has also explained the scientific approach towards habit formation. This book definitely warrants a read if one is seeking for self- guidance around changing your beliefs and thought process. He also shared simple some daily implementation methods like writing to do list, daily offer 1 gratitude, track your daily habits, to weigh and measure them, put a chronology to your daily habits etc.

I personally am looking forward to try some of his techniques and share the outcome too. This book is recommended across all age groups and will for sure give you a new dimension of looking at things.

Why do we go flat out to belittle our friends and relatives, Why we foul mouth dear ones, create ruckus and mayhem, Why don’t we realise that bad deeds return with a vengeance. God created earth and smartly made it go round and round. The earth is created not just for the mankind’s pleasure, It is the home for all the plants, trees, the animal kingdom, The beaches, the seasons, clouds, hills and valleys, The beauty is to behold, not touch and destroy. The Earth has seen many births and deaths, lot of greats, Everything ends up in mud and dust, a nobody in the end, Come to earth, enjoy the beauty, live, love and leave a footprint, Depart silently, with a smile, Mother Earth will embrace you

Reflection

The heart full of ache, head in disarray, soul in slumber, The reality of life hits like a bullet, sudden and straight, Where's the elixir, the panacea, to come out of the hole, Who will break the walls of despondency, to a new tomorrow. Reflect on the love and affection, people who stand by you, Let despair disappear, and give way to hope and faith, Nothing is static, it's a dynamic scene, wrong can become right, Keeping hitting the wall, it will break under the positive vibes. Myriad of emotions, plethora of options, many an exit to start anew, Squares and rounds mingle to create a prism of brightness, The miasma of subconscious is wiped clean in showdown, The nature will Reflect the subtle war and the ultimate victory.
