LET IT GO

Everything we hold on to gets heavy after a while. We each carry our own burden of heavy things like worry, fear, pain, and bad habits, harsh words from a loved one, or a regret from the past? But what we don't realize is that it is not just we who suffer from the weight that we carry through the world. As it impacts our work, relationships, health and everyone around us. Letting go can feel scary, and uncertain, at same time it also feels light. When we let go of what we don’t like about our self, our body feels light. It may be our weight, our laziness, our insecurities, our fears, our jealousies, past regrets, guilt, resentments and all our other negativities that weigh our self-respect down. If You Want to Be Light, You Have to Let Go 🙌 🙌

Lockdown 2020

# Lockdown  2020 Stranded, stunned, stupefied at the dance of death world over, Young and old, mostly old, falling line nine pins, lonely, forsaken, Medics fighting to save, odds stacked against them, No country spared, pandemic at its zenith, be home to be safe. From wet market in Wuhan, it is going places far and wide, Leaving death and destruction ,,Unconquered and footloose. The Almighty, not so mighty in this war, shut and locked up. Lacklustre leaders, petrified populace, medics the saviours. Is this a revenge that the animal kingdom has unleashed on us, We plundered their habitats, killed them insanely for money, Cornered and nowhere to go, have they turned their ire on us, Our insatiable greed exposed, this War will have no winner

Random Thoughts

Life had become An emptied gift pack Unsure if I Could bounce back A sliver of hope And with kids in tow Walking on a tightrope Was a life I could not throw In an empty elevator The door almost shut My heart skipped a beat When I saw a hand to slide A whiff of cool breeze A sight to appease There you were Simply made me freeze Our journey has just begun A love story with lots of fun With miles to run together we’ll be second to none

Friday Word BUBBLES

Bubbles As a kid i sent bubbles in air using soapy water, The thrill I got was genuine, it was pure magic, The bubbles then burst bringing me back to reality Just like life which gives you the high and then the lows. Bubbles always burst whether Share Bazaar or love, Dreams remain dreams unless you focus on Winning, As we jump from bubble to bubble searching utopia, We end up chasing mirage, no water, just desert. Bubbles can create ripples but don’t deviate from goals, You have to win, let there be many obstacles, The Sun and Moon will never change their routine, Comes out of bubble, face reality, you have Won.

#L O C K D O W N T H O U G H T S

I long for my morning walk, fresh air, cool breeze, I sit in front of TV changing the channels like a zombie, Appetite gone, mind blank, everyday same as yesterday, Want to break free, get back to busy routine, meet friends. Earlier looked forward for weekends, planned the leisure, In the reverse scenario, I want my busy Monday tension. No travel, little work, idle thoughts, is this retired life, Nay says my body, soul, brain, heart, limbs, eyes and more. Miss the banter, dressing up, calls, deadlines, meetings, Things will change for the better, sooner than later, relax till then, Watch movies, enjoy music, play cards, read books, exercise, Wait for the Big day, pep up, the present will become nostalgia.

H.O.P.E

Plight of Migrants

Plight of Migrants They came with high hopes, with stars in their eyes. They came by train, bus and trucks to Chennai and Mumbai, To Surat and Bengaluru, Punjab, Delhi and Kota, Dreaming of making big, and securing their families. They sold their meagre wealth, borrowed for one way Ticket, Staying in shanties, constructing iconic edifices for rich, Working from dawn to dusk, in heat and dust, rain or cold, To eke out a living, to keep body and soul together. When the time of reckoning comes, they become pawns, Trudging thru unfamiliar paths, dying on road and tracks, Hapless, forgotten, hungry men, women and children. As the exodus unfolds, rich & Haves watch with closed eyes.

Friday Word .. THE WAIT

We wait in anxious anticipation, the lull before the storm, The gusty wind driving everyone indoors, to safety, to hope, to live another day, An eerie silence adds to the suspense, confused bird chirping in fear, Is it going to be a ‘Storm in a Teacup’ or the wind will flatten the trees. The prophecies of doom spread panic among the hapless, petrify the poor, With death talks and drowning, drama unfolds before evacuation, Save your lives the meek and the less blessed, lip sympathy will not get you far, Don’t depend on destiny, take charge and move, dawn will bring new tidings, The Sun and the clouds play hide and seek, thunder and lightning follow suit, The Arabian Sea on a high, wave after wave challenging the shore, Will it destroy everything on its path, uproot the hamlets, make more homeless.. But It’s certain that some of us will enjoy the weather with Bhajjia and Chai in style.

Friday Word RACE

In the race of life, running helter skelter, decadence takes over, Man kills man coz of skin colour, race supremacy in full form. Racism has been manifest from the time Whites ruled the World, Bought to fore by Hitler, and then by the White regimes of Africa. Race raises its head again in America, a Black is killed openly, the World rises in defiance, wants justice for George Floyd. How many more Floyds will be sacrificed brutally by Racists, Before the whole World is cleansed of this Race scrounge.

DEATH..bitter reality

When death beacons, when the time has not come, there is shock, Tormented souls losing hope, trapped in their self inflicted cocoon, Fear of losing, show biz larger than life, heroes to villains in short time, Helpless, dejected, aimless, everyday a nightmare, sad end so soon. Tough life, ugly deals behind glamour, back slappers turn back stabbers, Fear of failure, drugs to booze to boost image, insecure, no one to turn to, Breaking bit by bit, your facade crumbles, reality stares back, why me, why me, The heart stops, the senses numb, the next world looks real, the soul departs

Friday Word MASK

Mask We all wear mask, some to escape death, others to escape debt, Mask acts as a shield to cover the misdeeds, to escape being seen, There are those who have invisible mask, a smokescreen to lure, They cheat, fool and destroy their near and dear ones, with a smile. We use perfume to mask odour, cosmetics to mask blemishes and marks, World is full of duplicity, what looks good turns out to be the devil, Close friends turn out to be crooks, well mannered ones to devils, Every mask has a price, we learn to unmask the evils from the good. Mask or no mask, stride on the right path, be genuine, be honest with yourself, Unmask the negatives crossing the path, kick out the hurdles on the way, Move confidently, watch for pitfalls, say bye to shy, you’ll Never say die, You have arrived, you bask in glory, no need for a mask to face the World.

MARCH ON

March on Young and bold, dressed to kill, trained to excel, extreme weather, From icy mountains to arid deserts, from air, sea and land, they fight, They protect us from terror, from neighbors with evil designs, we are safe, Our salutations and everlasting gratitude, who sometimes die so that we can live. They march on, thru difficult terrain, sleep in tents, away from family and friends, Lonely life, steely determination, guard the borders and kill with no mercy, Fight for us, our security, our family, our safety, so that we can enjoy peace, We still crib and criticize, from our air conditioned comfort, we the ungrateful. Let the politicians play their dirty games, dividing the masses, bribing the poor, They will come and go, leaving their stink behind, country comes last to them, You march on dear brothers, we trust you, our gratitude to you know no bounds, You have been guarding our frontiers for many years, may God protect you. Jai Hind

Words of GRATITUDE

Friday Word NIGHT

Night Why is the Night so dark and the day so bright, Is it to remind us that bright is not far away, After silence we get sound, Sun after Moon, There is hope when everything seems lost. Night is for rest and rejuvenation, to dream and plan, To love and encourage, enrich, express and enjoy, Connect with supreme, sublime state of mind, Soul search, seeking answers to tormented heart. Life’s contradictions come to fore, to confuse, When it’s night here, somewhere it is a busy day, To challenge, to fight, to live, to earn a night’s rest, It’s divine way of saying All’s well, sleep peacefully.

COMPETITION

We are our own COMPETITION !!! Rise above competition, be the best in whatever you do, Why do we compete when there is so much for everyone, Is it to excel, or to to move ahead of others, Challenge yourself, set tough achievable goals, Shun diversions, accept support, lead from the front, Grab the opportunity, the competition is with you. To compete brings the best in you, teaches sportsmanship, Go as as a team, motivate, stress, accelerate, You are a tough competitor, the crown is yours.

Friday Word MIST

Mist The breeze becomes cooler, the surroundings greener, There is a nip in the air, fresh feeling, romantic thoughts, Winter is starting, warm clothes come out, early morning sight, When you see the Mist, spongy with water, marvel of nature. We face many mists in our life, our sights clouded, uncertain, we are caught on the wrong foot, Stunned by circumstances, little space to run, out of sorts, The whirlpool of make belief. Create sunshine in mind, evaporate the mist to see reality. One gets misty eyed when things don’t go their way, Have patience, weather will change, fortune will smile. Music, dance, friends, food and hugs will hasten the change, Turn a new leaf, chirpy, cheers a plenty, banish mist forever.
