Sharing my views on yet again another book of my favorite guru Robin Sharma – WHO WILL CRY WHEN YOU DIE!!
This book comprises of 101 small easy chapters, which can also help a new reader develop the habit of book reading by way of reading 1-2 chapter every day. Each chapter adds an insight to lead your life and living on your own terms. The book is more like journey of the author, sharing his life experiences. This book can be considered as an everyday self-development tool for one’s personal daily growth. Book focuses on self-improvement and how to give your best to enrich lives of people around you. One might need to actively and consciously make these changes post identifying what is essential for us. He further explains beautifully, in knowing the difference between who you are and also about the sole purpose of our life.
What I liked the best about this book, it also comprises of Robin's favorite quotes and sayings. Not just his quotes, but also shared motivational inspirational words from other legends and leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King, and many others. After reading couple of his books, I can certainly say it has helped me refine myself. Am more inspired to wake up early mornings and start my day(though there are some days when I also need to fight my demons) Spend my time more effectively into reading, writing down my goals, revisit them, read my goals over and over again and it definitely has given me that push to make that CHANGE in MY life.
Author thru his way of short wisdom stories, gives us a perspective to a deeper truth of life which will help us prioritize what is important and what is not. There are few topics in this book I read again and again like. Honor your past, Learn to say NO gracefully, Talk to Yourself, Take More Risks, List your problems, Practice forgiveness, collect quotes that inspire you
My favorite quotes in the book:
*When you were born, you cried while the world rejoiced. Live your life in such a way that when you die the world cries while you rejoice'
*The tragedy of life is not death, but what we let die inside of us while we live Effective, fulfilled people do not spend time doing what is most convenient and comfortable. They have the courage to listen to their hearts and do the wise thing'
*The way you begin your day determines the way you will live your day'
I strongly recommend this book to everyone, to read it. As I have mentioned previously, books of Robin definitely warrant a re-read for one to implement and see a change in our life.
