Stranded, stunned, stupefied at the dance of death world over,
Young and old, mostly old, falling line nine pins, lonely, forsaken,
Medics fighting to save, odds stacked against them,
No country spared, pandemic at its zenith, be home to be safe.

From wet market in Wuhan, it is going places far and wide,
Leaving death and destruction ,,Unconquered and footloose.
The Almighty, not so mighty in this war, shut and locked up.
Lacklustre leaders, petrified populace, medics the saviours.

Is this a revenge that the animal kingdom has unleashed on us,
We plundered their habitats, killed them insanely for money,
Cornered and nowhere to go, have they turned their ire on us,
Our insatiable greed exposed, this War will have no winner
