When death beacons, when the time has not come, there is shock,
Tormented souls losing hope, trapped in their self inflicted cocoon,
Fear of losing, show biz larger than life, heroes to villains in short time,
Helpless, dejected, aimless, everyday a nightmare, sad end so soon.
Tough life, ugly deals behind glamour, back slappers turn back stabbers,
Fear of failure, drugs to booze to boost image, insecure, no one to turn to,
Breaking bit by bit, your facade crumbles, reality stares back, why me, why me,
The heart stops, the senses numb, the next world looks real, the soul departs
